چکیده
Background. Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a rare and serious adverse reaction of terbinafine. Understanding AGEP terbinafine primarily based on case reports. The purpose to explore the clinical characteristics terbinafine-induced AGEP, provide reference for diagnosis treatment. Methods. Case reports original studies were retrieved by searching Chinese English databases from January, 1991, May 31, 2022. Results. median age 32 patients (17 males 15 females) was 55 years (range: 6–84). time onset 8 days 1–77) usually accompanied fever (>38°C) elevated neutrophil levels (>8000/mm3). Four (12.5%) had oral mucosal involvement, 10 (31.3%) developed postpustular desquamation. lesions mainly distributed in trunk (43.8%), whole body (34.4%), extremities (53.1%). Skin biopsy revealed subcorneal pustules (65.6%), intraepidermal cavernous necrotic keratinocytes (15.6%), spongy hyperplasia (25.0%), exocytosis papillary dermal edema (40.6%). resolved completely all at 12 2–90) after discontinuation symptomatic therapy. Conclusion. Clinicians should be aware that cutaneous reaction. occurs within 2 weeks administration has good prognosis discontinuation.

Terbinafine-induced acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis.
Terbinafine is an allylamine antifungal agent, effective in the treatment of dermatomycoses. Many cutaneous adverse reactions have been reported (in about 3% of treated patients). Furthermore terbinafine has been associated with pustular eruptions, as well as the induction and exacerbation of pre-existing psoriasis and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP). AGEP is an uncommon asept...

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis is an acute pustular eruption occurring most commonly after drug ingestion. It is a self-healing condition with spontaneous cure after discontinuation of the causative drug. We report the second case, as far as we know, of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis induced by simvastatin intake. Conclusion: simvastatin can be included on the long list ...
